Limmud 2010

This year Limmud was held at the Hotel Monte Christo at the Roman Quay of Buda. When choosing the venue we gave priority to easy access for all participants from Budapest. The 150 participants filled the hotel and the conference lasted two and a half days.

Programmes were organised within the framework of key definitions like the Body, Enigma, the City and Again – based on these we had sessions on the use of alternative energies in Israel, on a female God in the Kabala, on Hungarian Jewish history or on teaching hatred.  Among the most successful programmes were the a night time boat trip on the Danube, a concert of the Onili band from Israel,  programmes organised with the help of Balint house (a Jewish cultural centre) and the introduction of the book ‘Cool Jew’ by Lisa Alcalay Klug.
