Limmud’s flagship event is the conference and its main feature is that everybody there is a participant and any participant can be a presenter or organiser. Volunteer presenters from various backgrounds, views and priorities offer a wide range of programmes. Grandparents learn together with the grandchildren and youngsters have no difficulty with arguing something through with their parents. During the conference there are separate programmes for the children.
At the conference programmes run parallel, generally in Hungarian but there is always a session in English and sometimes one in Hebrew too. Well known teachers and experts from overseas participate together with Hungarians. You can listen to people there whom you could not meet anywhere else. Leading and up-and-coming musicians, film makers and artists present their work at the conferences.
Limmud is uniquely multi-faceted in both content and expression as well as in its manifold approaches to Judaism.
