Limmud's core values

Limmud’s mission is to allow each Jew to take one step forward on his or her Jewish journey.

Limmud seeks to create a space in which all Jews can explore the various facets of Jewish culture and their Jewish identity.

Limmud is a diverse and inclusive forum in which you will experience the full gamut of Jewish opinions and beliefs.

Limmud Israel Day

Limmud Israel Day was organized on Sunday, 2nd of December 2012 at the Israeli Cultural Institute.

The date of the event is connected to the 65th anniversary of 29th November 1947, the day when a UN vote on the partition of the then British mandate Palestine between the Jews and the Arabs paved the way to the birth of the state of Israel.

According to modern Jewish legal interpretation where are the limits of permissable information gathering by Israeli secret agents?

Round-table discussions and presentations touched on issues like Arab-Jewish co-existence, the relationship of Israeli and diaspora Jews and the flourishing music scene in Israel.
